So leads me to think its not the driver and that's zebra's stance as well. According to MS, since you have tried other documents and can print in other programs is to troubleshoot the driver. I ask because I had a similar problem with a Brady label printer. No matter how I adjusted the page layout in Word or in the printer properties, it won't work. I found an old copy of the Word file that worked before the OS change and it printed fine with the new OS. So I tried to make a new document with the old document's settings and it wouldn't work, but when using the old file, it works. Hp 5500 switch visio stencil. I do get a similar warning when trying to print, but I hit ok and it prints fine. I had the same problem on 4' x 2' labels with windows 7 & Word 2010. I was able to get this message to go away by changing the orientation of the layout and reversing the dimensions ( 2' wide x 4' tall) in word but I wasn't able to get the text to print horizontally on the label no matter what I tried. Zebra Gk420t Label TemplateI was finally able to work around this by setting up the document as 4 x 2 landscape orientation in word, saving each label as a pdf, and printing from pdf. The printer settings were set up for portrait & width 4' / height 2' and the margins / unprintable area were all set to 0. This is another pain to endure for this printer. Luckily I have to use it very little. Hopes this helps. Thanks to 'Jet Temple' who posted the solution that worked for me If your template gimps and Word decides to be unfriendly to you, the workaround is to set the Zebra printer to use the right label size but to set the Paper size to something that will force it to automatically set the orientation the way you want it - because we obviously can't be trusted to make that decision on our own safely. In my case I had a 4' wide x 3' high label that would not print correctly every time I moved the printer to a new workstation. Setting the paper size to 4' x 4' solved the issue, the Zebra just ignores the extra 1' at the bottom of the label and prints it correctly. Microsoft Office TemplatesThanks for the info guys, I have been pulling my hair out after getting two new Zebra ZT420's and couldn't get the orientation for the labels from word. What worked for me was just editing the page size so instead of 152mm x 101mm I set the label as 152mm x 152mm, so there was white space below the label, then the orientation in word seemed to work whereas before it wouldn't. Haven't tried creating new templates but no need if all I need to do is change the page size slightly then it works. I had tried nearly everything prior to this before as well, different drivers (seagull and zebra drivers, old and new) different ways of connecting to the printers, adjusted every printer setting imaginable but just adding the white space done the trick. Hope this assists anyone else having the problem as seems to be a wide spread Zebra drivers/printer issue.
