I have an HP 895 Cse printer. Yes it is an old printer but supper dependable and don't want to have to buy another. I have a desktop that has Win7 Home Premium 64-bit on it and I can install this printer on there. It will not install itself so I need a driver. I can go to drivers on the HP site but there isn't one listed for this version of Win7. ![]() I don't understand why I can't find one because I have a laptop with Win7 with the same operation system and the printer work on it fine. I really would appreciate some help with this. Is there a way to find the drive on my laptop and copy it? The driver is delivered through Windows Update. There are a few things to try: (the Deskjet 895cse and cxi use the same driver). If that does not resolve the issue the driver install wizard available from may resolve the issue. I'm connecting wuith USB Port, Yes the printer shows up in devices and printers, the port reflects 'virtual printer port for Hp DeskJet 895Cse'. The only error message is in the print status which reflects: 'error - printing' The HP Diagnostic Tools have not resolved my problem as the HP site does not recognize the 895Cse, I tired using the 895 Cxe driver and that didn't work either. As info, I spoke with HP and they stated my printer was 'too old' to work with Windows 7 OS. (The printer works fine with my old computer with Windows XP) Thanks Bob. Hp Deskjet Drivers Windows 10I have recently purchased a HP Pavillion P6 and my printer (HP Deskjet 895cxi) worked initially on this computer but has now stopped working. The printer works as it should when connected to my laptop. On connection via USB to the new Pavillion computer it detects the printer and begins to 'install driver software' but then it 'Fails'. If I try to 'add a printer' it tells me the spooler service is not running but when I try to 'start' the spooler service in 'Adminitrative Tools'. I get an 'Error 1053' message. I use Windows 7 64 bit. It sounds like you could have a virus, corrupted system files, or other malware. Get your antivirus program up to date and boot into Safe Mode. Note that some viruses can hide themselves from your antivirus program in normal mode, so you really need to scan in Safe Mode. To get into Safe Mode when you first power up, hit F8 about once a second until you get the menu and select Safe Mode. Once in Event Viewer click on the system log and scroll through the entries looking for those flagged 'error' to see if you can find hints as to where the problem could be. ` When you get your system back in good working order, I urge you to back your system up to an external hard drive and make regular periodic updates to it. - I hope this helps.
